optima op3wThe Optima Op3W netbook is a Chinese model with a built in 3G UTMS module. The laptop will likely be available through China Telecom, although I wouldn’t be shocked if we saw a similar model show up in the West under a different brand name at some point.

Sascha from Netbook News.de got a chance to check out the OP3W at IFA in Berlin, and he was very impressed with the build quality. He says the laptop feels very light, but that might be due at least in part to the fact that it ships with a 3 cell, 2200mAh battery instead of a higher capacity one.

Most of the netbook’s specifications are pretty standard fare. It has a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 3 USB ports, Ethernet and VGA ports, and a 1.3MP webcam. It also has a matte display, which makes it stand out a bit against the sea of glossy-screened netbooks hitting the markets. The lid, however has a glossy finish which I suppose will come in handy if you’re trying to covertly snag the fingerprints of a friend, business colleague or date.

You can check out Sascha’s hands-on video after the break.
