Lenovo’s updating its ThinkPad Yoga line of convertible notebooks with new 12, 14, and 15 inch models.

Like the consumer oriented Yoga products, the business-friendly ThinkPad Yoga is a notebook that becomes a tablet when you push the screen back 360 degrees. But these models feature premium features including support for digital pen input and keyboards with keys that retract when you switch to tablet mode.

New models feature full HD touchscreen displays, backlit keyboards, and Intel Broadwell processors with support for up to an Intel Core i7 chip.

Lenovo will offer models with support for up to 1TB of storage, and there’s an optional Intel RealSense 3D camera with the 15 inch model.

The smallest model has a 12 inch screen and weighs 3.3 pounds.

According to Lenovo’s press release, the ThinkPad Yoga 12 and 15 will be available in February for $999 and $1199, respectively while the ThinkPad Yoga 14 will launch in May for $1199. But some websites are reporting they’ll be available for much lower prices (starting at $685), which may suggest that Lenovo will offer discount prices as soon as these laptops launch (something that Lenovo has a habit of doing).

  1. cannot find if 14 and 15 do or do not have a wacom option..
    crucial for me..
    anyone in the know??

  2. The 14″ model will be Best Buy exclusive,
The 14″ and the 15″ will also have the NVIDIA GeForce 840M dedicated graphics cards and no Pen.

  3. Lenovo brought back the trackpoint mouse buttons atop
the touchpad, correcting a big blunder they made, removing
the buttons from prior versions of their ThinkPad laptops. Since
Lenovo also seems to have dropped prices slightly on
the new models, die hard trackpoint fans may skip the
buttonless earlier versions. I believe the prices on used/
refurbed buttonless models will drop significantly due to
    these new models.

    1. The older models (at least the ThinkPad Yoga 12) have been showing up in large numbers on the Lenovo Outlet lately. I scored one a couple months ago and my only gripe is the lack of dedicated buttons on top of the touchpad….

    2. No trackpoint buttons is why 40 series is no go for me. Long live my T420.

  4. There has to be a typo in that spec sheet. Up to a Pentium processor for the Yoga 12? You can equip the current TP Yoga with an i7…

So what’s the low end? Atom and Celeron? Not gonna pay $685 for Bay Trail.

  5. >Butthese models
I read that as “butt tease models” initially XD

Thanks for the extensive CES coverage again, Brad.
