Lenovo has been shipping its second generation netbook for a few weeks now, but ranns at the Netbooks Philippines Forums has posted some of the first unboxing photos I’ve seen. The netbook comes with a decent looking slip cover and all the usual accessories including a user manual, warranty card, and power cord. I have to say, I’m not a big fan of the way the extended battery sticks out of the back of the netbook like a tumor. But it’s probably a small price to pay for doubling your laptop’s battery life.
As expected, the S10-2 appears to have a glossy display which looks a bit like a mirror when the backlight is off. The lid is also rather shiny, but the keyboard and palm rest are thankfully less shiny and less prone to collecting fingerprints.
You can find more photos, including a shot of the IdeaPad S10-2 hanging out with an HP Mini 1000 over that the Netbooks Philippines Forums.
