The HP Omni 10 is a tablet with an Intel Atom Z3770 quad-core processor, a 10 inch, full HD display, and Windows 8.1 software. HP introduced the tablet in October, and now it’s available for purchase in the US.

While the Omni 10 has a list price of $399, Office Depot is currently offering the tablet for $350.

Amazon has the tablet listed for the same price, but it’s currently back-ordered. Or if you feel like paying full price, you could always buy the HP Omni 10 from the Microsoft Store for $399.

Oddly, all of these retailers are taking orders before the HP Store, which has the tablet listed as “available in December.”

HP’s 10 inch tablet features a 1920 x 1200 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a micro SD card slot. It has micro HDMI and micro USB ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, Miracast wireless display support, and 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi. The tablet has an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP camera on th efront.

The HP Omni 10 has a 31 Whr battery for up to 8.5 hours of run time, and the tablet measures 10.2″ x 7.1″ 0.4″ and weighs 1.4 pounds.

All told, the tablet’s a lot like the Asus Transformer Book T100, but it has a slightly faster processor, a higher resolution display, and doesn’t come with a keyboard dock. Eventually HP plans to offer an optional keyboard accessory, but the Asus tablet ships standard with a keyboard and sells for $399 or less.

  1. I have been on the fence with this tablet. I really wanted it at first. Lack of accessories, specifically a dockable keyboard, has derailed by excitement. I have heard of driver issues in the forums and the lack of hp support behind the product. Waiting for a Windows 1080p+ tablet with powered keyboard for 500.

    1. yeah if I’m going 8.1 – which I want to do – I really want a good keyboard dock to use desktop apps properly.

  2. 1080p windows 8.1 for $350! Now this windows tablet race is getting interesting!
