A few months ago I got a chance to check out a Siso Tablo in person. This little $99 doohickey basically lets you use a special stylus to treat any laptop screen as if it were a touchscreen. You can write, use an on-screen keyboard, or tap away at the display.
Now it looks like the Tablo has a little competition. The Duo does pretty much the same thing. In fact, I haven’t ruled out the possibility that it’s actually the same device under a different brand name.
The Duo will set you back about $119.95 and it doesn’t seem to have any features that the Siso Tablo lacks. But seeing as the Tablo isn’t widely available in the US yet, the Duo might be a good alternative. It’s designed to work with the tablet software built into Windows Vista and Windows 7, although Mac support is reportedly coming soon.
You can check out a video of the Tablo in action after the break. There’s also a longer, higher quality video at the Duo homepage.
