As expected, Lenovo’s Miix 510 2-in-1 Windows tablet is coming soon… but what wasn’t quite expected was the price for this 12.2 inch Windows tablet. It’ll sell for $600 and up when it hits the streets in October.

That’s less than I was expecting, and it seems like a reasonably good price when you consider that the tablet comes with a detachable keyboard, an active pen, and a 1920 x 1200 pixel display.

The Miix 510 will be available with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 1TB of solid state storage, and up to an Intel Core i7 Skylake processor (rather than Core M or Atom). But it’s interesting to see Lenovo launching a Skylake model now that Intel’s Kaby Lake chips are available.

The detachable keyboard features backlit keys, and the tablet has a built-in kickstand that can be adjusted at angles up to 150 degrees.

Lenovo says the Miix 510 tablet weighs less than 2 pounds without the keyboard.
