Shenzhen Guo Wei Electronics (SGW) is showing off a colorful netbook at the CES International Gateway. Spec-wise, there’s nothing special about the SGW Colombo, but it has a bright plastic case that reminds me of the Samsung N310. It’s not rubberized or ruggedized per se, and the case isn’t going to protect this laptop against damage incurred when it falls on a concrete floor. But it will help protect the laptop from fingerprints at least.

The SGW Colombo features 1 .6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel screen. It’s available with a 3 or 6 cell battery, which should provide 2.5 hours to 5 hours of run time.

SGW hasn’t signed any distribution deals yet, and there’s a little sign by the company’s display pointing out the fact the the netbook hasn’t been approved by the FCC yet. So don’t expect to see this model in the US anytime soon. But it’s one of the few generic netbooks I’ve seen this week that does stand out from the crowd — even if it’s only visually.

More images after the break.
