HP is expanding its Pavilion x2 line of low/mid-range tablets with a new 12.1 inch model. Not only does the new Pavilion x2 have a bigger screen than its predecessors, but it also comes with beefier specs… or at least the option for them.

The HP Pavilion x2 12.1 inch tablet will be available with 2GB to 8GB of RAM, 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of storage, and a choice of an Intel Atom Cherry Trail or Intel Core M Skylake processor.

HP says the new tablets should be available February 7th for about $500 and up.

That price will get you a tablet with an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. But you don’t have to pay that much more for an upgrade. HP says a version with a Core M3 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage will sell for $600.

Other features include a keyboard dock (which comes with the tablet), and support for an optional digital pen, and stereo front-facing speakers with Bang & Olufsen audio. The tablet supports 802.11ac WiFi, has a 1920 x 1280 pixel IPS display, and features a USB 3.1 Type-C port as well as a USB 2.0 port, micro HDMI port, and headset jack.

HP says the tablet should get about 8 hours of battery life from the built-in 33 Whr battery.

The 12.1 inch HP Pavilion x2 weighs about 1.6 pounds. Add a keyboard dock and you’ve basically got a 3.2 pound laptop.
