Microsoft has rolled out the latest version of its Zune HD firmware. That means you can updated your mobile media player to add support for Smart DJ playlists, additional video codecs including Xvid, and the ability to browser the Zune Marketplace music store while your Zune HD is docked and connected to an external display.

The coolest new feature is that Zune Pass subscribers will be able to stream Smart DJ playlists from the Zune Marketplace without first downloading the tracks — which means the Zune effectively has a Pandora-like internet radio app that will play music based on your suggestions/preferences.
