ZTE’s Axon 7 smartphone offers a pretty nice balance of high-end specs and mid-range price, as a $400 phone with a 5.5 inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

Not good enough? Now ZTE is adding a new limited edition version of the Axon 7 to its lineup.

The new model features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has a pressure-sensitive “force touch display.” The new “enhanced” version of the Axon 7 is available from ZTE USA for $500.

The phone is the same size, has the same 20MP rear and 8MP front cameras, and features the same processor as the cheaper version of the Axon 7, and like that phone, the new limited edition model ships with Android 6.0.1 and ZTE’s MiFavor user interface.

The phones have USB 3.0 Type-C ports, fingerprint scanners on the back, and support for 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, and 3,250 mAh batteries with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 (for an 80 percent charge in 30 minutes).

So what you’re getting for the extra $100 is basically more memory, more RAM, and a pressure-sensitive display (which is also available on the cheaper, smaller, and less powerful ZTE Axon 7 Mini).
