ZTE is updating its SPRO line of mobile hotspot/projectors. But the new ZTE SPRO Plus isn’t just a device that you can use to connect to the internet or project content to a wall or screen. It’s also a small Android-powered tablet.

While earlier SPRO devices had touchscreen displays, they were mostly for controlling the projector and hotspot experience. The SPRO Plus has a large, high-resolution display that could let you use the device as a standalone tablet… which also happens to have the ability to act as a projector or mobile access point.

It features an 8.4 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel display, an 11,500 mAh battery for up to 6 hours of use in projector mode, and a built-in 500 lumen laser projector that can display an 80 inch image from about 8 feet away. The projector has a native resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.

The SPRO Plus also has stereo 2.4 watt JBL speakers.

Unsurprisingly, the device is a bit thicker and heavier than a typical tablet, measuring about 9″ x 5.9″ x 1″ and weighs about 2.2 pounds.

It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and has 3GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It ships with Android 6.0 software.

ZTE will also offer a range of accessories for the SPRO Plus, includign a remote control, keyboard, mouse, and gamepad.
