yones x11a

If the Yones X11A netbook loks a bit familiar, that’s because it appears to be the same machine as the Olevia X11A spotted a few months ago. I always get a kick out of it when companies change the brand name of a product but keep the same model number.

Anyway, Sascha from Netbook News got a chance to check out the Yones version of this mini-laptop recently and shot a video which you can check out after the break.

In a nutshell, the computer has an 11.1 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, a large touchpad and mouse button, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, and runs Windows XP. There are 3 USB ports, mic and headphone jacks, a VGA output, Ethernet, and a card reader.

The 39.2WHr battery sits flush with the bottom of the computer and actually hangs out near the front, which means that it’ll be a bit tricky to develop a third party battery. There’s also a SIM card slot which means 3G may be available as an option.

You can check out Sascha’s video after the break.
