Xiaomi launched a budget smartphone with a 4.7 inch 720p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage earlier this month.

Now the company has announced it’s updating the phone, giving it slightly better specs.

The new Xiaomi Redmi 2 has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

Other features remain pretty much the same, although the new model is expected to cost a little more than the original, which went on sale in China this month for about $112.

The phone is still an entry-level device, but it’s a pretty nice looking one, with a 64-bit processor, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and a 2200mAh battery.

It supports 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and the Redmi 2 is a dual-SIM phone with support for 4G LTE networks (in China).
