The WiiPad Slim Plus is a 7 inch Android tablet with an ARM11-based processor and Google Android 2.1 operating system. It’s hardly a state of the art machine, but it comes with the Android Market preloaded and can run many (but not all) modern third party Android apps.

It gets pretty lousy battery life, has  resistive touchscreen display, and a pretty lousy button layout. But as I stated in my recent review, it’s actually a much better device than most of the 7 inch tablets available in its $150 price range.

But if that still seems like a lot of money to spend on an imperfect product, I’ve got a deal for you: I’m giving away the demo unit WiiPad sent me to review.

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below. This contest will run through 12:01AM on Wednesday, December 29th.

Because I’m footing the bill for shipping, this contest is limited to US residents. If you live in another country and are willing to cover the costs of shipping, feel free to enter anyway, but I’ll only cover domestic shipping. If you’re selected as winner, I’ll contact you via email, Twitter, or Facebook, so make sure to use valid credentials when you login to leave a comment. If I don’t hear from you within 24 hours I may choose another winner.

  9. I’m trying t configure small pc’s for schools. Our school (azma.org) is a charter k-8 school with 2-3 old pc’s per classroom. if tablets are workable we would like to provide one per student. Several parents have bought olpc xo’s which are shared in some classrooms, but olpC is not interested in ‘domestic’ sites, at least for xo-1.x deployments.

The olpc/marvell xo-3 (or the marvell variant without x03 pranding) may be available in early 2011, but we ould like to get a leg up by starting with a few tablets now.

    So count me in!

  41. Wow, can’t beat that price regardless how the tablet performs. Would be a great learning tool for Android.

  42. Afternoon Brad and 1st off a very merry Christmas to you and yours. Please throw my entry into the drawing. Would like to play with some thing a bit more advanced than my current Archos 5IT and Archos 7 Home Tablet.

    Thanks

    Mike

  43. It seems it can be an e-reader, video-watching, email-checking and browsing device on the same unit. Too bad it cannot bake Christmas fruit cake. Still, I want it! (Who doesn’t?)

  44. I think this would be something fun to toy around on. Root and see if you can add any better functionality to it via overclocking or such. This could also be my daughter’s first touch screen. Load up some of the kid apps and let her pay with it. I wouldn’t have to worry about my only phone getting too mucked up.

  45. Ma cosa si puo’ davvero fare con una tavoletta di questo tipo?

  46. sweet! free gear! i’m amazed at how much stuff you give away, it’s pretty cool.
