The Viliv S10 Blade combines some of the best features of a netbook and a tablet PC. It’s small, light, and has a multitouch display. But it also has a nearly full sized keyboard making text entry much easier on the S10 Blade than on a touchscreen-only tablet like the upcoming iPad.

Two of my colleagues have posted detailed reviews of the Viliv S10 Blade today. Jkkmobile has a lengthy video review, which you can watch after the break. And Chippy from UMPC Portal has a detailed review with a ton of excellent pictures and information.

So what’s the verdict? Both agree that the S10 Blade is thin, light, attractive, quiet, and has excellent battery life. The Atom Z530 processor and GMA 500 graphics are a little less powerful than the Atom N450 CPU found in most newer netbooks. But Chippy did note that using the latest GMA 500 drivers for Windows 7, he was able to watch some 720p HD YouTube videos as well as local 720p and even 1080p HD videos.

In addition to the high resolution 1366 x 768 pixel touchscreen display, the Viliv S10 Blade sets itself apart from most netbooks by shipping with an integrated 3G modem and a solid state disk — both of which drive up the price. Dynamism sells the computer for $699 and up, which is a high enough price to discourage many netbook shoppers. But both Chippy and jkkmobile seem to think that on balance, the S10 Blade is worth the money.
