1151nr-unboxed

The HP Mini 1151NR is basically a variation of the HP Mini 1000 with a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 576 pixel display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, and an 80G hard drive. Oh yeah, and this also happens to be the model that Verizon is selling to customers at a discount when they sign up for a two year service plan.

Yesterday Engadget posted a short review of the netbook and wireless service. But if you just can’t get enough, Phonedog’s Noah Kravitz took a break from reviewing cellphones to check out the HP Mini, and he posted a lengthy (12 minute) unboxing video and look at the software.

For the most part, the HP Mini 1151NR looks exactly like the HP Mini 1000 I reviewed last year. But the Verizon model comes with a built in 3G modem and software for connecting to Verizon’s 3G wireless network.

You can check out phonedog’s video unboxing and overview after the break.
