As expected, Verizon is adding a new tablet to its lineup. The Verizon Ellpisis 8 is a relatively inexpensive Android tablet with support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network.

It has an 8 inch screen, weighs about 12 ounces, and Verizon says the tablet should be able to get more than 14 hours of battery life.

The Ellipsis 8 is available from Verizon for $250 if you pay full price, or $150 if you sign up for a 2-year contract.

The tablet has a 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 5,000 mAh battery, a 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, and 16GB of storage. It also has a microSD card slot for removable storage.

It supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth, and the tablet is manufactured for Verizon by Quanta.

Verizon also continues to offer a 7 inch Ellipsis tablet. It also costs $250 if you pay full price, but the 7 inch model is just $50 with a 2-year contract.
