The MSI Wind U135 features a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 250GB hard drive. It runs Windows 7 Starter Edition and has 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1. The netbook was released a few months ago, but the folks at MSI just sent me one to review, so I figured I’d post a little unboxing video.

Overall I like the design. The keyboard features an island-style layout with flat keys and spaces between them. The touchpad is nice and wide, although it has just a single button for left and right clicks. And the lid has a nice textured design that seems to be fairly resistant to fingerprints and smudges. I’m not a huge fan of glossy displays, which the Wind U135 has, but it’s more common to find netbooks with glossy displays than without.

You can check out the unboxing video below.

  1. Nice unboxing! But man that design is getting old… It’s been pretty much the same since the first 10″ Wind showed up… I mean its not ugly its just booooring! I am liking the look of that trackpad though. It looks WAY better than the first ones that came out. Anyone remember the bait-and-switch Synaptics trackpad issue? I do.. that was real fun. I’m excited about the new Asus’ netbooks that are coming out, now those look GOOD! Hopefully they wont be too expensive *fingers crossed*
