If you were hoping to pick up a Toshiba Folio 100 Android tablet this holiday season, you’d best be in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa, because The Wall Street Journal reports that Toshiba won’t begin offering new tablets in the US, Japan, and other countries until early 2011.

The Folio 100, on the other will hit the aforementioned countries by the end of this year.

It’s not clear whether the Folio 100 will make it to the US in its current form or if Toshiba will make changes before launching the tablet in the States. The tablet may also get a new name by the time it’s launched in the US.

  1. FYI: Toshiba is already selling and shipping tablets in the US. They’ve been a near constant presence in the US tablet market for the last 8 years. I know your content backs away from you headline a little bit by adding “new tablets”, but I thought this would be fun to say anyways.
