The Toshiba Encore 8 is a Windows tablet with an 8 inch screen and the model number WT8-A32. So what’s the Toshiba WT10?
That’s the name of a tablet that recently showed up at the WiFi Certification website. It’s described as an ultra mobile PC with Windows 8.1 software… and the name suggests it could be the Toshiba Encore 8’s big brother.
Update: The tablet also hit the FCC on May 21st, where it’s referred to as the WT10-A or WT10-B.
Toshiba doesn’t currently offer a 10 inch Windows tablet, but if the company’s 8 inch model is called the WT8, it stands to reason that the WT10 is a 10 inch model.
While there aren’t many details in the WiFi documents, we do know that the tablet will supports 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n WiFi.
If the tablet’s anything like the 8 inch model, it will probably feature an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor, at least 2GB of RAM, at least 32GB of storage, and a multitouch display. The 8 inch Toshiba Encore tablet also features Bluetooth 4.0, a micro HDMI port, microSD card slot, an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera.
The 10 inch model (if that’s what we’re looking at) won’t necessarily have the same specs… nor will it necessarily have the same 1280 x 800 pixel display resolution. But until Toshiba makes an official announcement, all we really have to go on are the few details available from the WiFi documentation.
