TigerDirect is running yet-another HP TouchPad promotion this afternoon starting at 2:30PM Eastern. For $249.99 a small group of customers will be able to snag a 9.7 inch TouchPad tablet with 32GB of storage, a case, and a set of Bluetooth speakers.
You can also buy a bundle with an HP Photosmart printer instead of the Bluetooth speakers for $299.99.
The HP TouchPad was originally priced at $499.99 and up, but HP discontinued the tablet this summer due to sluggish sales and slashed prices until they were as low as $99. At that point the TouchPad became a hot seller and every retailer that gets a few in stock tends to sell out almost immediately.
TigerDirect doesn’t expect today’s sale to last very long.
Today’s deal isn’t quite as exciting as previous sales. You can regularly pick up a used TouchPad tablet on eBay or Amazon for under $300. I suppose if you really want the case and speakers or printer, TigerDirect’s deal will save you a few bucks, but the retailer is clearly trying to make a few extra bucks by only offering tablets bundled with accessories.
