Sure, Dell has an on-again, off-again love affair with the Inspiron Mini 9. The company has announced the discontinuation of the product at least once or twice, even though the 9 inch netbook has a way of continually popping up in the Dell store. But whether you’ll be able to buy a new Mini 9 next month or not, there are already a fair number of Dell Inspiron Mini 9 and Dell Vostro A90 mini-laptops floating around. (The Vostro A90 is pretty much identical to the Mini 9, it just bears the company’s business branding).
The Mini 9 typically ships with a 4 cell battery. But MyDigital offers an 8 cell, 5200mAh battery that should last for up to 10 hours. The company warns that the battery works best with netbooks using the A04 or earlier BIOS versions. If you use the A05 BIOS you may have some problems charging or recognizing the battery.
The MyDigital battery is available for $64.99 from MyDigital Discount or the company’s eBay store.
