Hugo Ortega has announced that his new Tega v2 tablet will be available in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand starting October 12th.

The tablet features a 10 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel capacitive multitouch display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, up to 2GB of memory and up to 64GB of storage (using a solid state disk). It has an accelerometer, integrated 3G and WiFi components, and measures just 0.55 inches thick.

The Tega v2 runs Windows 7, making it one of the few Windows 7 tablets expected to hit the market before the end of the year.
