T-Mobile has announced that it will be adding two new tablets featuring Google Android 3.2 Honeycomb and 4G HSPA+ to its line of Android tablets. The first is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is already available from a number of other wireless carriers in the US. The second is called the T-Mobile SpringBoard, and it’s basically a rebranded Huawei MediaPad tablet.
The SpringBoard features a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor, a 7 inch multitouch display, GPS, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 1.3MP front camera. It can handle 1080p HD video playabck and it can record 720p HD video. The tablet comes preloaded with BlockBuster and Netflix apps as well as the T-Mobile TV app.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a 10.1 inch display and a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor. The T-Mobile version will come preloaded with T-Mobile TV, Qello, and game demos including SIM City Deluxe and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline.
T-Mobile says both tablets should be available before the holidays. There’s no word on the pricing.
