T-Mobile has overhauled its webConnect mobile broadband plans for 3G and 4G capable laptops, tablets, and USB modems. There’s a new 10GB per month plan, a new discount for existing T-Mobile subscribers, and no overage fees (unless you opt for the cheapest plan).

Here’s the rundown on what’s new:

  • There’s a 10GB per month plan for $84.99.
  • If you sign up for the 5GB or 10GB plan you won’t actually have to pay extra if you go over your limit — it’s just that T-Mobile may throttle your connection speed to a crawl if you’ve used up your data allowance and the network needs the bandwidth.
  • Existing T-Mobile phone subscribers can get a 20% discount when they sign up for the new plans.

The wireless carrier will continue to offer a cheaper 200MB plan for $29.99 per month, but you’ll have to pay 10 cents per MB if you use more than 200MB of data — something you’re likely to do if you plan on accessing any multimedia on your computer.
