Sony introduced the Xperia X smartphone family in February. Now the company says the phones will be available in the US starting in June.

The Xperia X is now available for pre-order for $550 and it’s expected to ship June 26th.

Sony’s $280 Xperia XA, $380 Xperia XA Ultra, and $700 Xperia X Performance should be available for pre-order starting June 19th, and thy’ll begin shipping in the second half of July.

The first phone to ship is the one with the most boring name, and respectable, but not particularly unusual specs. The Xperia X features a 5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, and a 2,620 mAh battery.

There are a few things that help this phone stand out. The first is that the phone has a microSD card reader — something that’s increasingly rare on premium smartphones. The second is that the phone features a 23MP rear camera with a 24mm wide-angle lens and a 13MP front-facing camera.

It’s also kind of unusual to see a phone with a 5 inch screen these days. While there was a time when that was considered a huge display, it’s actually kind of on the small side by 2016 standards.

One thing to keep in mind is that while the international version of the Xperia X has a fingerprint scanner, the US model does not.

If you want more bang for more bucks, the $700 Xperia X Performance has a similar design and similar specs, but it features a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, a slightly larger 2,700 mAh battery, and a water resistant case.

At opposite end of the spectrum, the cheapest model in the Xperia X lineup is the Sony Xperia XA. It has a 5 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a MediaTel Helio P10 processor.

Priced at $280, this model has a 2,300 mAh battery, a 13MP rear camera, and a microSD card reader.

The recently announced Xperia XA Ultra is the largest of the bunch, but it’s not the most powerful or the most expensive.
