Chinese electronics maker Smart Devices has introduced a new tablet with a 1 GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual core processor, a 9.7 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display and Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The tablet has front and rear cameras, Bluetooth 4.0, and Power VR GX540 graphics. It’s is also pretty darn cheap, running about 1699 yuan, or roughly $268 US.
According to Engadget Chinese, Smart Devices is also working on a more powerful model called the T20 which will have a 1.5 GHz or 1.8GHz processor.
I doubt we’ll see this particular tablet distributed widely outside of China anytime soon, but it’s nice to see a cheap Chinese tablet with decent specs.
