Lenovo recently launched its first Yoga 2-in-1 ultrabook with an Intel Core M Broadwell processor. The Yoga 3 Pro weighs 2.6 pounds, works as a notebook or tablet, has a high-resolution 13.3 inch display, long battery life, and a new hinge that allows the machine to be thinner than its predecessors.
Now it appears Lenovo has a smaller model in the works. The Lenovo Yoga 3 11 is expected to have a similar design to the Yoga 3 Pro. But it’ll have a smaller 11.6 inch display.

Mobile Geeks dug up several retail listings for the Lenovo Yoga 3 11, as well as an FCC filing which suggests that the Yoga 3 11 will look a lot like the Yoga 3 Pro. There’s also a Yoga 3 11 page on the Lenovo Germany website… but there’s nearly no information on that page, and the picture on the site clearly shows the wrong computer.
Lenovo is expected to offer models with 4GB to 8GB of RAM, 128GB to 256GB of storage, and Core M 5Y10c or Core M 5Y71 processors. They’ll come in at least two color options: white and silver.
European prices should range from 599 € to 999 € (about $742 to $1238 US).
In other words, these new laptops won’t be as cheap as some earlier members of the Yoga family. But they should be thin, light, and could possibly feature fanless designs along with long battery life thanks to their low-power Core M processors.
Yoga 3 pro is not fanless! There is one noisy fan 🙁
but helix 2 is fanless with core-m processor too so would be great if this yoga is fanless but doubt it
On the note of the Helix 2, does anyone know of reviews or preliminary performance/throttling numbers for it? I’m looking at the Core M Dell Venue 11 Pro and the Helix 2. I’m currently swaying towards the Dell because it’s smaller (while marginally smaller for most, it makes a difference for me).
hey man, not sure if i can answer your question directly but maybe this thread could help

do ctrl+f for “helix” and see that post, has some benchmarks
Thanks for the link! I’m comparing the Core M versions of the Venue 11 Pro and Helix 2. I’m a trackpoint fan so I hope the Helix doesn’t suffer from throttling like the Yoga 3 Pro.
Let’s hope Lenovo doesn’t mess this up like the still actively cooled but still heavily throttles Core M based Yoga 3 Pro.
If we go by the larger Yoga 3 Pro, this will have a footprint of a 14″ screened notebook, a loud fan and has
severe thermal throttling.
I’m eyeing the Dell Venue 11 Pro 7140 myself. So far some owners from this thread: https://forum.tabletpcreview.com/threads/dell-venue-11-pro-7140-late-2014.64410/ have positive performance results. Although, there seems to be some battery drain during sleep and USB drive issues.
I’m deciding between the Core M version of the Venue 11 Pro and Helix as well. I’m attracted to the trackpoint and the return of the dedicated trackpoint buttons on the Helix but it’s not yet available to order in the US. The Venue 11 Pro is smaller which I prefer because I plan on stuffing this ultraportable in a bag that’s already filled with other things for travelling (plane and road trips). Any little bit of space helps. I can buy the Venue 11 Pro with the mobile keyboard dock today so it has the advantage right now.
If more reviews and user experiences show that the Venue 11 Pro doesn’t heavily throttle under prolonged CPU (not that interested in GPU performance myself) before the Helix’s keyboard dock with trackpoint becomes available then I’ll be getting the Dell.
now release it, and then a Chromebook version, and a 13″ 1080p yoga 3 and a chrombeook version
