Remember Seamless Corporation? Yeah, I almost forgot about them too. But they’re the folks behind a cheap looking mini-notebook that Tyra Banks was hawking a while back. Now it looks like the Seamless SNBK-1 Mini Net Book is beginning to ship.

The company issued an odd press release yesterday that announced that its initial shipment of netbooks were on their way to customers, but failed to list anything useful like how large that shipment was. For all we know, the company sold its first 10 computes this week.

The Seamless netbook has a 1.6GHz VIA C7-M procesor, a 10.2 inc, 1024 x 600 pixel display, Integrated Crhome graphics, a 120GB hard drive, and 1GB of RAM. It supports 802.11a/b/g WiFi, and has a 1.3MP webcam. The computer ships with a 3 cell, 2400mAh battery or an optional 6 cell, 4800 mAh battery.

  1. Still waiting for the free one promised me at the Tyra show.

That show was geared to people who were unemployed.

They never provided the guests with the computers. Just a post card to mail away. When you call to check on the status they claim “they are having issues with their chinese distributors” or “the parts just arrived” “It shipped last week” “It will ship next week” …. NOTHING COMES.

Horrible company … too bad Tyra gave this sleezy company free advertising.

  2. Wireless a? VIA C7-M?

    WTF?

I am waiting to hear about the USB 1.1 ports.

  3. A new VIA machine? Is this machine targeted to their “third world” markets?
Or, it could be they where committed to VIA a long time ago and are stuck with it.

  4. Seamless, or gutless?

A slightly bizarre choice for a new machine when the rest of the world has moved on, especially given the fairly reasonable (and predictable) specs other than CPU/gfx.
