If you have an Android device with support for USB OTG, this lets you quickly copy data from your phone or tablet to the flash drive. Then you can take the drive and pop it into your PC or Mac computer to transfer files to you notebook.

The new line of flash drives support data transfer speeds up to 130MB per second and have retractable USB ports.

SanDisk is offering models with 16GB to 64GB of storage at launch, with suggested prices ranging from $23 to $65.

These new models aren’t the company’s first dual USB drives, but they’re the first to support USB 3.0 and SanDisk has also lengthened the micro USB connector to make it easier to connect the drive to smartphones that may be in thick cases.

  1. I don’t care for flash drives. Make it a card reader, preferably with a back-loading SD / microSD combo, and I am all over it. So far I have not managed to find a single decent USB 3.0 combo card reader where I can leave the cards in and treat it like a USB stick.

  2. I don’t know why but I’ve received defective products the 2 times this year I’ve bought 64GB Sandisk microdrives like this. One was the dual drive that has the micro USB for phones/tablets and the other was a low profile USB 3.0 drive for my laptop. The micro USB dual drive came with the partition unformatted and write-protected so I couldn’t even format it myself. The low profile USB 3.0 stick was only writeable for the first 100MB of its 64GB and after that all the write operation would lock up my Windows Explorer. Needless to say, I’ve soured on Sandisk for the time being. It’s a shame b/c their cheapo 64GB 2.5″ SSD I threw in my limping ThinkPad T60 is still going strong.

    1. Where are you getting your drives from? You know someone’s got to ask you this question but…if it’s from Sandisk’s own store or a respected store with a decent name behind it then that’s pretty bad. If it’s an eBay store from China, all I have to say is, buyer beware.

      1. This.
My experience with legitimate sandisk products had been outstanding.
I have been snookered twice though.

  3. these gadgets are pretty slick. I have a USB 2.0 version that I use with my LG G2. I really like it, but DAMN that little bugger gets HOT and pretty fast. Definitely don’t want to leave it hooked up more than a few minutes. Hopefully they’ve figured out a way to cool them better
