n140 naked

Sure, the Samsung N140 netbook hasn’t begun shipping in the US yet. But you can already pick up this successor to the popular Samsung NC10 in parts of Europe, and one owner was nice enough to pry open his netboook’s case so we could see the computer’s insides.

OK, actually he did it so he could swap out the hard drive for a faster solid state disk. But if you’ve been wondering what this laptop looks like under the hood, wonder no more. SammyNetbook Forum member Dezmond has posted a series of photos on Flickr showing the motherboard, hard drive, RAM, and WiFi module.

  1. At first, the Samsung NC10 netbook might seem a bit expensive. Most of the extra money probably pays for the 6-cell battery, and 6.5 hours of battery life is definitely worth it.

  2. I’m shocked that samsung sells the n130 with one single speaker only build in. I can’t belive that – we have 2009 now.

  3. The Samsung NC10 was one of Samsung’s first netbooks, and it really shook up the netbook market. The Samsung NC10 is available in both white and black and it is matted, which is great as it will pick up less dust and finger prints.
