Samsung’s new 10.1 inch Galaxy Note tablet has the guts of a Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, but a larger, higher-resolution display. It’s called the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), and oddly it’s expected to hit the streets in the third quarter of 2013.
I guess the implication is that it’s a next-generation device.
The tablet features a 10.1 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel display, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB to 64GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for extra storage. It runs Google Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and features an 8220mAh battery.
Like other members of the Note family, the new tablet features an “S Pen,” which is Samsung’s name for a digital pen that supports pressure-sensitive input for writing, drawing, and other actions.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) will be available in WiFi-only, 3G, and 4G LTE models. The 4G version will have a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor (probably a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip), while the other models will have a 1.9 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor.
Each version will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software and features 8MP rear cameras, 2MP front-facing cameras, support for 24-bit, 192 kHz audio, and Samsung’s suite of apps including support for multi-window features, which lets you run two apps on the screen at the same time.
The tablet features 802.11a/b/g/nac WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, and GPS and GLONASS support.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) measures 9.6″ x 6.7″ x 0.31″ and weighs 1.2 pounds.
OMG I was just about to purchase the current Note 10.1 last week but now I’m super tempted to get this.
What an exciting surprise unveiling this.
May I have some decent tablet apps with that tablet?
