Samsung has confirmed that a Student Edition Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is on the way. As expected, you’ll be able to pick up a 7 inch tablet, a keyboard dock, and a USB adapter for $249.99 — the same price the tablet alone normally sells for.
But there’s a slight catch. The promotion only runs for two weeks.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Student Edition bundle should be available from August 19th through September 1st at participating retialers including Amazon, Best Buy, CostCo, Fry’s, and TigerDirect.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 1 GHz TI OMAP 4 dual core processor. It runs Google Android 4.0 software with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.
Samsung’s tablet includes a 3MP rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, GPS, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and a microSD card slot.
At $250, it’s one of the best tablets available in its price range. The Google Nexus 7 may have a faster processor, newer software, and a higher resolution display, but it lacks the microSD card and rear-facing camera you get with the Galaxy Tab.
It looks like a US-only deal 🙁
I tried looking it up in Canada, but could not find a store so far that offers this deal.
