Update: Well it was nice while it lasted. J&R has removed the product pages for all four products. Now the links below simply redirect you to J&R’s tablet page.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 isn’t expected to go on sale until next month, but J&R is already taking pre-orders for the tablet. The tablet features a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra processor, and Google Android Honeycomb operating system. As expected, a model with 16GB of storage will run just under $500, while a 32GB is up for pre-order for $599.

If you don’t happen to be in the US, it looks like you’re going to have to spend a little more for your Samsung tablets. The 16GB model is expected to sell for 629 Euros, or about $896 US, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 (which hasn’t yet been priced in the US) will run 599 Euros ($851 US).

J&R is also taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galasy S WiFi 4 and 5 inch media devices. These guys are Samsung’s answer to the iPod touch, offering many of the features of an Android smartphone without the 3G or cellular phone capabilities (or the long term service contracts.

The Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4 has a 4 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display, a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor, 8GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, front and rear cameras and a 1200mAh battery. The device ships with Google Andorid 2.2. J&R is taking pre-orders for $229.

The Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5 has a larger 5 inch display with the same 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Most of the other specs are the same, but this model has a higher capacity 2500mAh battery. J&R is taking pre-orders for $269.99.

  1. Jr is taking pre-orders over the phone for the 10.1. Placed mine this am 🙂

  2. You can pick up a dell streak new for $300-350 complete with phone/3g capabilities.  So the samsung 5 is a bit pointless at this stage of the game.
