Samsung’s new 7 inch tablet is expected to launch by the end of October. Today the Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus cleared one more hurdle and passed through the FCC website on its march toward reality.
The Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus has a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, and Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.
The tablet features 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB to 32GB of storage. It has front and rear cameras, a 4000 mAh battery and supports 108p HD video playback and 720p HD video recording.
While there will be a version of the tablet with HSPA+ mobile broadband capabilities, the version that showed up at the FCC this week is a WiFi-only tablet.
The original Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 inch tablet launched in 2010 and also features a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display. But that aging tablet has a single core, 1 GHz processor and runs Google Android 2.2 Froyo.
