The Clevo W110ER is a gaming laptop with an 11.6 inch display, Intel Ivy Bridge processor and NVIDIA Kepler graphics card. It’s one of the most powerful computers available in an 11.6 inch form factor — especially for gamers.

Clevo is a Taiwanese PC manufacturer, but a handful of companies are slapping their names on the laptop and selling it in the West. That includes Maingear, which offers the laptop for $1099 and up, and Origin which offers starting prices of $999.

But Sager Notebook Computer has them both beat, with prices starting at $899.

Sager NP6110
Sager calls its version of the Clevo laptop the Sager NP6110. For $899 you get a model with an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, an Intel Core i5-2540M processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium and features 802.11b/g/n WiFi.

The notebook has HDMI output, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and a 1.3MP camera. It measures 11.3″ x 8.2″ x 1.5″ and weighs about 4 pounds — making it kind of heavy for an 11.6 inch notebook, but pretty light for a gaming laptop.

Premium options include a Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and a larger hard drive, a solid state disk, or hybrid storage which combines a hard drive with a solid state disk.

Overall this is probably one of the best ultraportable laptops available for serious gaming — but early reviews indicate that it gets pretty lousy battery life.

  1. I wonder why this can come with a 3612QM while the Lenovo X230 and T430 don’t? Maybe there isn’t a big business market for quad cores other than me. Too bad my company doesn’t use Clevo.

    1.  Put me in as someone who wants a 3612QM in the X230. For what I do, 2 more cores are better than having a higher frequency of the same CPU architecture.
