I’m sitting at a coffee shop right now typing away on the HP Mini 1000 so that I can get a feel for the netbook’s real world performance for a review I plan to write before giving the computer away in a contest set to start next week. And what am I doing with my netbook right now? Catching up on recent reviews of other netbooks. How very meta.
Laptop Magazine reviews the Asus Eee PC 1002HA
The folks at Laptop Magazine have been spending some time with the Asus Eee PC 1002HA, which Asus hopes to replace the Eee PC 1000H with. The new netbook is thinner, lighter, and more attractive, but packs the same processor, screen, and keyboard. And it has a smaller battery. The verdict? It’s probably a matter of taste.
GadgetMix reviews the Asus Eee PC 904HA
Want a netbook with a decently sized keyboard and don’t care too much about screen size? This machine is basically an Eee PC 1000H with a smaller 8.9 inch display. But it’s got the same keyboard, processor, etc. It also happens to be a tiny bit lighter and a little cheaper.
SammyNetbook reviews the Samsung NC10
This Samsung NC10 review was written by a “regular user,” which is to say he doesn’t have a lot of experience writing product reviews. But you get a good sense of the pros and cons of this netbook from a Samsung Netbook enthusiast. He’s not a fan of the touchpad, but likes the keyboard, screen and other hardware.
