I just noticed that the link in the featured posts section to the Liliputing logo design contest was dead. I’ve fixed the link, but I figured now was as good a time as any to give you a gentle reminder: If you have an idea for a new logo for this site, you have until Friday to enter your submission. You could win a $50 or $25 gift certificate or cash.

I’ve received a few great ideas so far, but I’d love to see some more. Make sure to read the complete contest rules before submitting an entry.

  1. Not to offend but if you want a decent logo, you’d need to offer more than $50. A logo is a $1000 item minimum. Why don’t you offer one of your under-used UMPCs or netbooks or something as a prize.

    1. No offense taken.

I’d love to pay that kind of money, but right now it’s just not something I
can afford. I’m not necessarily expecting to get a professional design out
of this contest. I’m just hoping that some loyal readers will have slightly
more graphic design chops than I do and want to help contribute to the site.
I do want to offer compensation, which is why I’m offering a bit of money,
but I’d be surprised if the folks who have submitted designs so far said
they only entered for the cash.

As for spare UMPCs, I do hope to be in a position where I can offer these
sorts of prizes in the future.
