Google recently rolled out an updated version of the YouTube Gaming app for Android, allowing users to record and/or stream live video of their gaming session over YouTube.

Now the company is bringing support for game recording to anyone with an Android device that has the Google Play Games app installed.

Just fire up Play Games, select the game you want to play, and then hit the record button. You can record videos at 720p or 480p resolutions and there’s an option to add commentary to your gameplay using your device’s front-facing mic and camera.

When a video is done you can edit it and upload it to YouTube.

Right now there’s no support for streaming your gaming sessions live — you’ll need the YouTube Gaming app to do that for now. But streaming is expected in a future release of Play Games.
