Norco’s BIS-6620 line of miniature computers have been around for a little while. The BIS-6620 I has an Intel Atom Z5xx processor, GMA 500 graphics, and VGA output. The second model upped the game with the addition of a DVI output. And now Norco has introduced the BIS-6620 III (PDF link) which goes a step further by offering an HDMI port for HD video.

You still get an Intel Atom Z5xx Paulsboro based chip with integrated GMA 500 graphics, so don’t expect too much from this little guy. But it should be able to handle 720p and some 1080p HD video playback.

The PC supports 1GB of RAM and has a 1.8″ hard drive bay. There are PS/2 ports for a mouse and keyboard, 5 USB ports, mic and line jacks, and an antenna for the optional WiFi.There are also CF and SD card slots.

The BIS-6620 III measures just 4.7″ x 4.7″ x 1.6″ and weighs 1.1 pounds. The computer is fanless, which means it should run nearly silently. And it can run Windows or Linux, which means you could probably connect this tiny PC to a monitor or TV to add a little web browsing and digital video playback to your media center setup.

  1. Other than being fanless and a little bit smaller – what advantage does it have over your regular nettops (that have better CPU and come with ION on top)?
