Point of View has unveiled a new line of Windows tablets powered by Intel’s Atom Z3735 quad-core Bay Trail processor. There’s an 8 inch model and two 10 inch tablets as part of the new Mobii line of Windows tablets.

I haven’t seen US pricing yet, but Tablets Magazine.nl reports in Europe they’ll sell for 169 Euros to 269 Euros.

Mobii WinTab 800W

The smallest, cheapest member of the new Point of View Mobii WinTab family features an 8 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

The tablet supports 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and has a 2MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera. It also features a mini HDMI port, micro USB port, and a microSD card slot. The WinTab 800W has a 4500mAh battery.

Point of View will offer models in black or silver. The tablet weighs about 14 ounces. This model is expected to sell for around 169 Euros.

Step up to the 249 Euro model with a 10 inch display and you get a tablet with virtually identical specs… but a larger screen and bigger battery.

This model has a 6000mAh battery and a 10 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display. It’s also a bit heavier than the 8 inch tablet, weighing in at 1.4 pounds.

Otherwise, the hardware is pretty much the same.

For 269 Euros the company offers a 10 inch tablet with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

Other specs are the same as those for the WinTab 1000BW, so expect a 1.4 pound tablet with a 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, an Atom Z3735 processor, black or silver case, and all the rest.

All three tablets ship with Windows 8.1 and a 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal.

  1. 1GB RAM? 16GB SDD? Why do companies keep introducing these virtually useless tablets? Whose going to offer a 64 GB 8 inch Windows tablet with at least 2 GB RAM AND 3G besides Dell?

    1. Acer does in European and Asian markets (the Acer W4-821; 64 GB, 3G, Z3740 [the dual channel version unlike the Dell], 8″ IPS screen, 2 GB of RAM). I have the Acer W4-820, which is the same thing but without 3G. Actually surprisingly decent, albeit chunkier than the Dell Venue 8 Pro (but I chose it for the microHDMI out over the digitizer in the Dell).

I don’t know what you could possibly install on a 16 GB W8.1 tablet… Does that have ANY available usable space?
