Taiwanese equipment manfuacturers Pegatron, Inventec, and Foxconn are both showing off new ultrabook models at the Intel Developer Forum this week. The thin and light laptops are some of the first devices we’ve seen to feature Intel’s new Ivy Bridge chips — which aren’t expected to ship until next year. All the companies that have announced ultrabooks so far are expected to launch products with Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge processors.

You probably won’t see the Pegatron, Inventec, or Foxconn names on these computers if and when they make it to market. Instead, companies you have heard of will likely place orders with these companies to produce notebooks that look like these.

Pegatron has two ultrabooks, including a model with a 13.3 inch, 1366 x 768 matte display, and another with a glossy screen. Netbook News has posted hands-on videos of each.

The notebooks have a USB 2.0 port and a USB 3.0 port, HDMI output, and a card reader. Like most other ultrabooks we’ve seen, the mouse buttons are built into the touchpad. The model with a glossy display also has a DVD drive, something that we haven’t seen on a lot of ultrabooks.

The Foxconn machine is model has a 13.3 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and it’s running Windows 7. Sascha from Netbook News posted a hands-on video, and he says the notebook feels a little heavier than the Pegatron models.

The notebook has three USB 3.0 ports and a SIM card slot for 3G or 4G mobile broadband. The machine has a brushed aluminum finish with a dark keyboard and palm rest and a light metallic finish on the lid.

Inventec’s model has… a 13.3 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display. No surprise there. It also features two USB 3.0 ports, a SIM card slot, and Ethernet output.
