Acer subsidiary Packard Bell is showing a new thin and light laptop with an Intel CULV processor at IFA in Berlin this week. It’s called the Packard Bell Dot M/U, and if it looks familiar, that’s because it’s virtually the same as the Acer Aspire 1410/Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T.
The Packard Bell Dot M/U ships with Windows Vista Home Premium, a 6 cell, 6 hour battery, and 2GB of RAM, and a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor and integrated GMA 4500 HD graphics. It has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display. One thing that differentiates it from the Acer Aspire 1410 available in the US is the fact that the Dot M/U has a 320GB hard drive while the US version has a 250GB hard drive. But otherwise they’re pretty much the same.

In Sweden the laptop is selling for about 5,990 kroner, or about $830 dollars. That’s almost twice as much as it costs in the US. It’s available for about 449 Euros, or $641 US in France.
