There’s not a lot we don’t know about the first smartphone from Chinese startup OnePlus yet. But the company hasn’t actually shown us what the OnePlus One looks like yet… or how much it will cost.

Now OnePlus says the rest of the details will be revealed on April 23rd.

OnePlus One launch

The OnePlus One features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, a 5.5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display which the company says fits into a phone that’s the size of a normal 5 inch handset.

It has a 13MP camera, a 3100mAh battery, and replaceable back covers that let you change the look of the phone — although removing the StyleSwap back cover won’t let you replace the built-in battery.

OnePlus may be a new company, but the team has generated a lot of buzz for its first product for a few reasons. First, OnePlus was founded by former Oppo executive Pete Lau and Oppo has a track record of releasing phones with top-tier specs at reasonably affordable prices.
Second, the phone will ship with CyanogenMod‘s custom version of Android, making it only the second phone to do so (the first was a limited edition of the Oppo N1).

The OnePlus One is also expected to feature always-listening software that lets you interact with the phone even when the screen is off, much as you can with the Motorola Moto X.
