Smartphone maker OnePlus is preparing to launch a new flagship smartphone, but the company still has a few older phones it’d like you to buy. So OnePlus is slashing prices by $50.
Now you can pick up a OnePlus X for $199 or a Oneplus 2 for $299.
The upcoming OnePlus 3 is expected to be unveiled during a press event on June 14th… which will be held in virtual reality.
If leaks are to be believed, the new phone will feature a 5.5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 32GB or 64GB of storage, NFC, and a 16MP camera.
There’s no word on the price or whether you’ll need an invite to purchase the phone at launch, as you have with past OnePlus smartphones.
If you don’t feel like waiting to find out, the prices on last year’s models are pretty good. For $299 the OnePlus 2 offers a 5.5 inch, 1080p screen. 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 3,300 mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
The $199 OnePlus X, meanwhile, has a 5 inch, 1080p display, a Snapdragon 801 processor, a 2,525 mAh battery, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. But this model does not support 4G LTE networks in the United States, so if you plan to use it in North America, it’s basically a 3G-only phone.
And neither phone supports NFC, which means that the OnePlus 3 may be the company’s first phone capable of handling mobile payments since the Oneplus One.
