Just because a netbook is small and has a low power CPU doesn’t mean it has to stink at tasks that require a bit more graphics processing power, right? Unfortunately most mini-laptops with Intel Atom processors currently use Intel’s integrated graphics chip which isn’t exactly a powerhouse. But DigiTimes reports that Intel and NVIDIA are working together to add support for NVIDIA graphics to the Atom platform.
The NVIDIA MCP79 chipset will reportedly be the first in line for support, but initially you’ll only find it in nettop devices (small, low power desktop computers) and not in laptop style PCs.

Something that supports hardware T&L would be cool in a netbook… let’s hope that this is true!!!
