Want to surf the web on a 1.6 inch screen? Now you can. Wear Internet Browser is a web browser for Android Wear which lets you load web pages on your wrist.

The app supports HTTP and HTTPS sites, features bookmarks and history, and features pinch-to-zoom… which will probably come in handy since even mobile-friendly websites probably aren’t optimized for watch-sized displays. It also supports voice search.

Like most Android Wear apps, the browser is designed to work with your smartphone, allowing you to send a URL to your watch from the Share menu on your Android device.

Why would you want to send a page to your watch instead of just reading it on your phone’s larger display? Good question. But now you can.

I suppose this could come in handy if you’re looking up directions, phone numbers, or other information from a website you want to be able to access quickly even after you put your phone away.

You probably don’t need a web browser on your watch. But if you want one anyway, I suppose it’s nice to have the option.
