Notion Ink has announced that the upcoming Adam Tablet could begin shipping by the end of the year… or possibly early next year. Either way, the company says it will start taking pre-orders in early December.

The Notion Ink Adam Tablet features a 10 inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 1GHz dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and Google Android 2.2. Some models will be available with a low power Pixel Qi transflective display that lets you view full color with the backlight on, or a high contrast, outdoor readable black and white mode when the backlight is off. There will also be a cheaper, thinner model with a normal LCD display.

In a blog post, Notion Ink’s Rohan Shravan says the tablet will be available for order in “most countries,” although the company is based in India.
