MSI is launching two new low power desktop computers as part of the company’s Wind Box line of nettops. The MSI Wind Box DC200 is available for pre-order for $249.99 from Amazon and features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a 6-in-1 card reader, 4 USB ports, Ethernet, VGA, mic, and headphone ports.
The MSi Wind Box DE200 has the same specs, plus ATI Radeon 4350 graphics and an HDMI port and goes for $299.99 on Amazon.
Interestingly, MSI says both models come with Windows XP Home Edition, even though Windows 7 will be available to the public this Thursday. MSI started showing these nettops off in June, so it looks like they’ve been in the works for a while. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see an updated version with Windows 7 soon. Because the DC200 and DE200 will ship with Windows XP Home Edition at launch, neither will qualify for a free upgrade to Windows 7.
