The tablet formerly known as the WePad was supposed to start shipping in Germany in June. But Amazon is apparently notifying customers that it won’t actually be available until September 19th — about three months after the launch date unveiled at a press conference last month.
The Neofonie WeTab features an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 multitouch display, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, 2 USB ports, HDMI output, a 1.3MP webcam, and Bluetooth 2.1. Unlike the Apple iPad, it also supports Adobe Flash.
It runs a custom version of Linux, but there’ve been reports that it will also be able to handle Google Android apps. And Neofonie has been assuring folks for months that the tablet is more than just vaporware. This delay certainly isn’t helping their case.

449 is expensive dont you think?
With those specs? No. It’s not that expensive at all. If it exists. If it works. I’d get one in in a heartbeat. I have an iPad and want Flash A camera would be nice, too. But Flash (IOW, full internet access) is huge. I am extremely limited using my iPad. But it beats carrying a heavier netbook through airports all the time.
